The Legacy Lives On

From the early days of bush pilots landing on gravel strips to the modern aircraft serving today, our story is one of resilience and connection. Bob Reeve built a reputation for courage, reliability, and service in some of Alaska’s most remote places. That legacy did not end when the last RAA aircraft left the ramp—it continued through his grandson in Reeve Air Alaska, and today it continues with Arctic Legacy Aviation.

Every community we serve stands on the shoulders of those pioneers. The lessons of their determination still guide our daily operations. Reliability, respect for Alaska’s people, and a deep commitment to safety remain the foundation of everything we do.

Our Mission

Provide safe, reliable, and community centered air transportation across Alaska. Honor the pioneers who came before us. Serve Alaskans today. Prepare the next generation of aviation professionals.

New Name, New Leadership, Renewed Commitment

With the transition from Reeve Air Alaska to Arctic Legacy Aviation, we embrace a new chapter while honoring the past. The name change reflects more than branding—it is a promise to align our operations with Alaska’s values of integrity, reliability, and service.

Under new leadership, Arctic Legacy Aviation brings together decades of aviation experience and a renewed energy to expand service across the state. We are investing in our fleet, in our people, and in the communities that depend on us.

The commitment is clear: we will maintain the professionalism of a major carrier while keeping the responsiveness of a hometown airline. For every passenger, every shipment, and every community, Arctic Legacy Aviation stands ready to deliver safe, reliable air service that carries Alaska’s legacy forward.

Meet Jacob Caldwell, CEO

Jacob Caldwell grew up in Alaska watching his father, a bush pilot, deliver medicine, mail, and supplies to remote villages. Aviation was more than a career path it was part of daily life. Jacob’s own journey began on the ramp at Grant Aviation, loading freight and fueling aircraft. From there he advanced to become a Station Manager at Alaska Airlines, gaining firsthand experience in the complexities of running a major carrier’s operations.

In 2018, Jacob joined the leadership team of Kenai Aviation, guiding the company through growth, modernization, and the challenges of serving Southcentral Alaska and beyond. Under his leadership, Kenai became known for dependable commuter service, community focus, and operational safety.

In 2025, Jacob joined with a team of other highly experienced Alaska Aviation professionals to purchase Reeve Air Alaska and rebranded it as Arctic Legacy Aviation, uniting decades of history under a renewed vision. Today he leads the company with the same principles he grew up with service, reliability, and respect for Alaska’s communities while building a future that honors the legacy of those who pioneered Alaska’s skies.

We are more than just your ride.
